Most predictors online use single-year linear approximations or marketing-driven guesswork. Ours is built on a four-step model that explicitly accounts for what changed between NEET 2025 (a tougher paper, no perfect score, AIR 1 at 686) and NEET 2026 (an easier-to-moderate paper with 22.79 lakh candidates).
We start with the official NTA 2025 marks-vs-rank distribution — the densest empirical curve we have for ~22 lakh candidates.
NEET 2026 was rated easier than 2025. We apply a calibrated +12 to +18 mark shift (concentrated at the upper rank band) to model score inflation.
The base curve is smoothed using NEET 2024 (24.06L candidates, 17 perfect scorers) and 2023 distributions to reduce single-year volatility.
Category rank is computed from historical category-share ratios. College mapping uses 2025 MCC closing ranks for AIQ and state authority data for state quota.
Expected All India Rank ranges based on our model, with NTA 2025 official ranks for comparison.
